Mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) is a powerful tool that opens new possibilities for healthcare research. For example, it can help to identify the link between the mechanism of disease or failed drug response to the genome of an individual. To capitalize on data generated from MSI experiments appropriate bioinformatics tools are essential. But in addition to algorithmic challenges, what can slow down the experiments is the lack of specific software suitable for multidisciplinary teams working with MSI technology.
